The Jordan Company acquired "Jixi and Jiamusi" from the Chinese Government, renamed the company International Mining Machinery, and took IMM public on the Hong Kong Stock exchange. After adding several strategic acquisitions and joint ventures, Jordan sold 41% of of IMM to Joy Global for approximately $585 Million USD. This sale netted an unusual profit of over $500 million for The Jordan Company and their Limited Partners.
